Victoria Condo Buildings an almanac of the city's strata towers, lowrises & conversions

The 8X directory currently indexes 103 condo buildings totalling 8,593 strata units across Greater Victoria — spanning eight municipalities including Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Langford, Sidney, Colwood and View Royal. The oldest indexed building dates to 1987 (The Rockland) and the newest complete in 2026 (Oak and Stone, The Lookout).

Several buildings in the directory permit two dogs and two cats, including The Pearl (1628 Store St), Shutters (66 Songhees Rd), Ocean Park Towers (203 Kimta Rd), Oak and Stone (3226 Shelbourne St) and The Lookout (2341 Bear Mountain Pkwy) — the latter even has a dog wash and dog area. Most buildings in the index now permit long-term rentals following BC's 2023 strata rental rule changes — including The Legacy, Parc Residence, The Edge, Queensport, Royal Quays, Mariners Landing, Shutters and Songhees Point. Each building record notes any remaining age or short-term restrictions, which still apply.

EV charging is now common — Ocean Park Towers, The Legacy, Parc Residence, Pebble Beach, The Pearl and Oak and Stone all have it.
